DescriptionOn the occasion ofits 175th anniversary, the Society is presenting an overview of its research activities. In the interest of maximum publicity and lasting impact, an electronic bibliography and documents are being published on the internet instead of an originally planned annotated printed bibliography or Festschrift. This project is exemplary for the history of scientific communication and has outstanding significance for numerous fields in science and research, namely for the history of natural sciences, Saxon regional studies, the sociology of science and social history.Essentially, three project goals are being pursued:

• Integration of the bibliography into the SLUB's electronic production and presentation system for digitised material and into the ISIS websites and other information sites (e.g. Sachsen.digital).
• Digitisation of the periodical writings of the society and their structural indexing through the converted bibliography.
• Publication of the project results in cooperation with the Leipzig University Library and the Institute for Saxon History and Folklore (ISGV) in a comprehensive information portal on academies and learned societies in Saxony.
