Scanning and digitising

We offer you various options for digitising printed content from our holdings. You can do this yourself on various devices or we can do the work for you.

Equipment at your disposal

Scan tents

With our scan tents, you can even digitise books and loose documents in high quality via the scan app of your smartphone. The support on the top of the scan tent serves to place the smartphone and at the same time guarantees an optimal viewing angle. White LED strips provide even illumination of the object. For a smooth scanning process, the SLUB recommends the free DocScan app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.

Book scanner

For free duplicating, we also have colour inspection scanners of the model Bookeye 5 V3 (up to A2 format) available. You can use them to transfer printed documents directly to your own USB stick or to your tablet using the Scan2 Pad app(Android/iOS).

Scanner for microforms

Would you like scans of a microfilm or microfiche? This service is provided free of charge by our digitisation device for microforms (location: Central Library, level -1). Information on functions and operation can be found directly on the device.
