This location serves as a learning and information center for medicine and healthcare professions and is located on the campus of the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine in the Johannstadt district.

Would you like to study alone or together in a group? Then use our reading places or reserve a group study room via our booking system. Of course, PC workstations are available for your online research in addition to area-wide WLAN. Furthermore, you will find a book and colour supervision scanner as well as a scanning tent for free duplication at the location.

In addition to our textbook collection, we recommend our numerous licensed e-books and e-journals. For optimal exam preparation, we offer you free access to the Thieme via medici database. Furthermore, you will find an extensive range of borrowable anatomical models in our library of things.

You can search all media in the SLUB catalogue. Please order stacks via the online order function. For holdings in the sub-libraries of the clinics and institutes, please clarify individually in each case whether you can borrow the media.

Informationen zur Barrierefreiheit

Der stufenlose Zugang zum Gebäude ist über den Keller möglich. Die Eingangstür dort  ist eine nicht automatisch öffnende Doppeltür.

Im Gebäude gibt es:

  • einen Aufzug. Rufen Sie dafür an der Theke an: +49 351 4677-951,
  • barrierefreie sanitäre Anlagen im Keller, erreichbar über den Fahrstuhl,
  • einen Ausleihautomat, der in der Höhe verstellbar ist.
