CEC calendar of events

The "Nationwide Recommendations for the Preservation of the Written Cultural Heritage in Germany" on the the homepage of the Coordination Office for the Preservation of the Written Cultural Heritage (KEK) are available for download.

The recommendations for action are based on inventory and damage surveys in archives and libraries at federal and state level from 2013. The figures of many Saxon institutions are also anchored in these data. The needs derived for the preservation of the originals of our written heritage make it clear that this long-term task can only be accomplished through a joint effort by the federal government, the Länder, the municipalities and the archives and libraries.

Cultural property protection - arming cultural heritage against disasters

Minister of State for Culture Grüttersin cooperation with the Federal Ministry of the Interior, has presented an inventory of the measures taken by the Federal Government to protect cultural property in the event of disasters. (18.05.2015)
