Events, courses & workshops
The SLUB TextLab offers a wide range of events and courses designed to make it easier for you to work with and on texts. In addition to questions relating to the writing process, the programme also covers literature research, digital humanities and collaborative work with texts.
Finding literature on your academic topic, citing correctly, analysing texts with specialist software or enriching them with information: we offer events and workshops on topics such as these at regular intervals. There are also many one-off events, such as readings by authors. We work with cooperation partners for a number of events, including the Writing Centre and the Green Office at TU Dresden, the Stadtgärten e. V. association and the Dresden University Sports Centre.

From readings to writing marathons
With our events, workshops and courses, we offer comprehensive support in all aspects of academic writing and dealing with specialised literature. However, we also look at writing from a broader perspective. Workshops on creative writing, the connection between nature and writing and readings are also part of our programme.

- Regular courses (online and face-to-face) on academic and creative writing, including, for example, working with programmes for literature management and correct citation.
- Writing action days and writing marathons
- Creative writing workshops that promote the flow of writing or explore the interplay between nature and text (nature writing)
- "Long Night of Writing" every year in March
- Workshops at the TU Dresden Writing Centre (only for TU members)
- Readings and literature circles
- Workshops for mindful use of your own physical resources(embodiment), including, for example, yoga practices, relaxation training and writing walks
