Orientation in the library & guidance system
Our library buildings are easily accessible on foot as well as by bicycle, car and public transport. Within the buildings, an easy-to-understand guidance system facilitates your orientation.

Arrival by public transport
You can reach the SLUB by bus line 61 (stop: Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek) or line 66 (stop: Technische Universität/Fritz-Foerster- Platz) as well as by tram line 11 (stop: Zellescher Weg). Use the timetable information of the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe to plan your journey.
Barrier-free access
There are designated parking spaces for people with disabilities to the left of the barrier to the SLUB car park. Access to the building is facilitated with a ground-level entrance. To enter the public area of the Central Library unhindered, please report to the security staff.
Car sharing station and rental bikes
At the Central Library you can borrow vehicles from the car sharing provider teilAuto. Rental bikes from nextbike are available next to the Lecture Hall Centre as well as at the Startup Cube of the Technical University.
