3D and videocarrel
In the DrePunct/Makerspace library, there is a self-contained work booth for various 3D and video editing tasks. The work booth is equipped with high-quality technology: you will find a 3D-compatible video workstation, a 4k-capable monitor and a JogShuttle to create your VR, 3D or video projects. The 3D and video carrel also offers tables, chairs, 24" monitors, open shelves and lockable cabinets for your work.
Use of the Carrel is free of charge. It is allocated to a group of up to 6 people for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 weeks.
To use the carrel, please reserve it at least 3 days in advance via our room booking system. After registering in the system with your SLUB data, select the carrel and the time period. When booking, please indicate which software you require so that we can check that the software is available on the workstation. The Makerspace team will then approve your booking.

Carrel Makerspace 1
A closed carrel (work cubicle) in the DrePunct/Makerspace library offers you space for long-term collaboration in a small group (up to six people). Thanks to its proximity to the Makerspace M1, the path from discussion to practical implementation and trial and error is not far away. Since exchange and knowledge transfer are very important in the Makerspace, we may ask you to present your project as part of one of our event formats.
The Carrel can be booked up to two weeks in advance for a period of at least four weeks and a maximum of six months via our room booking system. To do this, log in to the room booking system with your SLUB data and select the Carrel and the time period. The booking will then be activated by the Makerspace team.

Carrel Photo Studio
You will find the carrel (work booth) set up as a photo studio in the DrePunct/Makerspace library. Here you can professionally record and document the results of your work. The Carrel can be used without prior booking during the opening hours of the Makerspace.
The prerequisite for booking the Carrel is a valid SLUBcard or Campuscard with activated SLUB functionality and a completed health and safety instruction for the Carrel photo studio. This can be completed on site at any time during the opening hours of the Makerspace. You will receive the key in Makerspace M1. You can also borrow cameras (Canon EOS 5D Mark II) with lenses here.

You can find more information on the individual devices and how to use and book them on our device booking page. If you have acquired a device license, you can work independently on the devices and expand your knowledge directly.
To pass on your knowledge, you can also use the M1, including the equipment and tools, for your own workshops or courses. You can find out how to do this on our events page.
