Interim Bergstraße / Open Science Lab Library

Our branch library with legal literature (formerly on Bergstraße) is located at Zellesche Weg 21-25. This interim location is in building Z21 on the campus grounds of the TU Dresden.

In the new location, you can borrow the majority of the main stock on a short loan / in-house loan for up to two days. In addition, our separate textbook collection is available for loan for up to 28 calendar days. These materials are arranged systematically in the open stacks areas.

The loose-leaf editions, journals and commentaries cannot be borrowed. These materials count as reference literature and can only be used in the library.

This branch library also houses the SLUB Open Science Lab.

Study Spaces und Technology

Study spaces

With over 300 study spaces and a small SLUB forum, this branch library offers excellent learning conditions for your studies. If you would like to work in groups, our bookable group working rooms and study spaces in non-bookable rooms will be available on the 1st floor soon.

If you want to relax or meet others casually, you are welcome to use the breakroom. It has tables, chairs and a vending machine for snacks and drinks.

Our location also has a parent-child workroom with a PC workstation.

Technology

10 PC workstations and access to the campus-wide WiFi enable you to research online and use our e-resources.

Furthermore, a Bookeye 5 V3 book scanner/colour inspection scanner (up to A3 format) can be used to scan books and other materials free of charge. You can transfer your scanned documents to your own USB stick or with the "Scan2Mobile" app. In addition, we offer scan tents at all locations, which can also be used free of charge.
