Bergstraße / Open Science Lab Library

Beginning on 15 August 2022, the location will have to close for use for several weeks due to the move. After the move, the Bergstraße Library will be located in the interim building at Zellescher Weg 21-25. The Interim Bergstraße Library will open there at the beginning of the 2022/2023 winter semester. You can find more information here.

The Bergstraße / Open Science Lab Library is located within the Faculty of Law building on the TU Dresden campus.

A small textbook collection is available for loan. The main collection of law literature is for in-house-use only and cannot be taken outside of the building. These items can be used inside the library's reading rooms. This restriction also applies to the loose-leaf collections, which are located in the open-access area. The holdings of the Bergstraße / Open Science Lab Library are sorted by the Regensburg library classification system (Regensburger Verbundklassifikation).

The library also houses the SLUB Open Science Lab.

Study Spaces and Technology

Study spaces

For your literature studies, you will find more than 360 study spaces/desks. Our library offers the perfect enviroment for quiet and concentrated studying. If you would like to work in groups, our three group study rooms are available for use without a prior appointment.

If you want to relax or meet others casually, you are welcome to use the break room, which also has a snack and drink vending machine.

For online research, we offer 10 PC workstations as well as access to the campus-wide WiFi.

In addition, print items can now be scanned for free using a Bookeye 5 V3 colour overhead book scanner (up to A3 format). You can save your scanned documents to your own USB stick, send them by e-mail or transfer them to the "Scan2Mobile" app. We also have ScanTents available at all locations.
