Your data

The protection of your personal data during processing throughout the application process is very important to us. We would therefore like to inform you about data processing in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

Please note that the sending of application documents to us by mail cannot be fully secured technically, as this is done without end-to-end encryption. Alternatively, you can apply by post or protect your attachments with a password, which you can send to us separately (e.g. by telephone).

Within the scope of the online application, we process personal data for the purpose of deciding on the recruitment of an advertised position on the basis of Art. 88 (1) DS-GVO in conjunction with Section 11 SächsDSDG as well as Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. c DS-GVO. For the associated selection procedure, your contact information, a letter of motivation and evidence of your skills, abilities and knowledge (e.g. certificates, training and/or study certificates) are regularly required. Mandatory fields are marked accordingly in the web form. The required scope of the documents to be submitted can be found in the job advertisement. The provision of this data is a prerequisite for the application procedure. In addition, you have the option of providing us with electronically stored documents such as letters of recommendation or personal achievements for consideration. The usual requirements apply to the additional application documents you send us.

The aforementioned legal bases and purposes also apply to information and notes that we collect in the course of an interview, if we conduct one with you. An interview will only be conducted with applicants who have been shortlisted and only if, in our opinion, this is necessary for the specific position.

In the course of personnel selection for management positions, we usually use the "Bochum Inventory" for job-related personality descriptions (BIP[link]). Such a test is only carried out with applicants who have been shortlisted. Only questions or tasks that cover the abilities, skills and knowledge required in the individual case are asked. Religious, political or very personal attitudes are not asked. Such tests are never conducted without specific briefing. You will be informed in advance about the method of questioning, the recipients of the test results and your rights. The test is carried out via a survey system.

Your personal data will only be stored, evaluated, processed or forwarded internally as part of your application for the position you have selected and will only be accessible to employees of the HR department and the heads of the specialist departments responsible for the selection and, if applicable, to employee representatives. The transmission is encrypted. Your data will not be used for other purposes and in particular will not be passed on to third parties.

After receiving a rejection notice, your electronically transmitted data will be automatically deleted from the SLUB system after 6 months (this also applies to possible unsolicited applications, which we unfortunately cannot consider without a suitable advertisement). This does not apply if, in individual cases, legal regulations prevent deletion, if we need your data beyond this period, e.g. in the event of a legal dispute, or if you have expressly consented to longer storage. If a contract is concluded with SLUB, your application documents and the personal data you entered in the system will become part of your personnel file.

If you have any questions regarding data protection or if you wish to exercise your rights according to chapter 3 DS-GVO, you can contact our data protection officer (Dresdner Institut für Datenschutz, datenschutz@slub-dresden.de, further contact details at www.dids.de) at any time - also confidentially. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 DSGVO if it is suspected that your personal data is being processed unlawfully.

Please also note the general information on the processing of your data within the scope of our website.
