PUBLIA – NEXT is aimed at researchers who have high quality standards for their own journal and for us as a service provider. Admission to the DOAJ and receipt of the COPE seal are mandatory requirements.

Strategic consulting and support
- Comprehensive advice over the entire life cycle of the journal
- Advice on formal quality criteria
- Checking the journal website for formal criteria before going live

- Application for DOI prefix & ISSN
- Review of the journal name (disambiguation)
- Long-term preservation (DNB, PKP Preservation Network, SLUB)
Data, metadata & statistics
- Maintenance of references on Crossref
- Annual aggregation of statistics
Our requirements
- Your title appears in Diamond Open Access
- You take care of the content
- Your journal is published under a CC license, preferably CC BY or CC BY-SA
- All published scientific articles undergo a peer review process (exception: for arts and humanities journals(pages 10-16 only), editorial reviews by at least two editors are permitted)
- You are responsible for setting up the editorial board
- All scientific articles and individual issues will receive a DOI (SLUB Dresden will cover the costs)
- You undertake to comply with the COPE guidelines
- Scientific publications undergo at least a random plagiarism check
- You strive for inclusion in the DOAJ at the earliest possible date
