With PUBLIA - SLUB Open Publishing, SLUB Dresden offers services related to Diamond Open Access.
PUBLIA - SLUB Open Publishing Services are aimed at those who wish to publish content in Diamond Open Access. This means that the entire control over the publication remains with the publisher. For example, if you publish a journal with us, you retain all rights to the title, complete control over the appointment of the editorial board, the editorial process and scientific quality assurance. We only receive the simple rights of use for online publication on our servers.
We currently host more than 45 journals and proceedings and are continuously expanding our services in line with demand and international standards. True to the adage "One size fits nobody", our philosophy is that every publication is unique and individual requirements should be taken into account wherever possible. Accordingly, we attach great importance to personal support.
We recommend aligning the publication with the "Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities". This includes the granting of a CC license for the published content.
PUBLIA - SLUB Open Publishing is not aimed at maximizing profits. The SLUB is co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament and the European Regional Development Fund. With the "Individualize by SLUB" theme, we are setting new standards for design options in OJS. Modern and tidy in appearance, flexible in the arrangement of content. And, of course, freely reusable in accordance with the Open Access concept. Design examples can be found here.
PKP has released OJS 3.5.0-0, the next major update of its widely used free journaling software. OJS 3.5 will be the next LTS version. We will put it through its paces and roll out this new version once it has been successfully completed.
