s u b \  u r b a n  is a scientific journal for the interdisciplinary, German speaking debate in the field of critical urban studies. It was founded in 2013. 

The journal is intended to be a scientific, inter and transdisciplinary publication project and accepts contributions also by non-academic authors. 

Although the articles in s u b \  u r b a n are in German, the journal has an international scope. SLUB supports the journal by paying a membership fee.
