Journals
Printed and electronic journals and newspapers can be found in the SLUB catalogue.
Electronic journals
The Electronic Journal Database (EZB) lists all electronic journals accessible via the SLUB. You can recognise them by the yellow traffic light symbol.
Printed Journals
can be found in the Central Library of the SLUB Dresden on level -1 and also in our other locations. Current issues can be found in their respective display boxes, and we also have a large number of bound, older volumes freely accessible in the open stacks. Older volumes that are not freely accessible can be ordered from the SLUB catalogue.
Extensive information on printed and electronic journals is available in the Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB). Here you can also obtain the holding records of other libraries

A newspaper display with a selection of German and international newspapers can be found on level -1 of the Central Library and in the DrePunct/Makerspace Library. The database information system DBIS, especially wiso Presse and Nexis, offers a large selection of international newspapers online. More information on daily newspapers can be found here.
Archive the of Saxon Press and Address Books
The holdings of the SLUB include an extensive archive of Saxon daily and weekly newspapers as well as the Saxon address books. These are available online or in microform. Films can be taken from the microfilm cabinet (near the former information point 5) for immediate viewing on the nearby reading devices.
