Helmut Schwurack Collection

Helmut Schwurack was born in Bautzen in 1915, completed an apprenticeship as a chef at Grell's Weinstuben in Dresden from 1930 to 1933 and worked in top gastronomy throughout his life. Among other things, he worked as a commis entremetier and commis saucier at the Hotel Adlon Berlin and cooked as sous-chef at the Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne. The collection contains documents relating to his professional activities and private photo albums.
