Frühwerk von Brahms, in Celle 2010 gefunden; Johannes Brahms, Lied von Geibel, Abschrift (Stadtarchiv Celle, L6-38/30 Nr.278)

The SLUB is also home to the Dresden working group of the Répertoire International des Sources Musicales (RISM, or International Inventory of Musical Sources).
This group is responsible for cataloguing musical sources from the years 1600 until ca. 1850 found in collections in the newly formed German states (former East Germany). The results of this research are published in RISM literature, as well as in the online catalogue, which contains over 700,000 entries of predominantly hand-written musical sources from 32 countries.
