The Sweet Art – A Cultural History of Confectionery and Desserts
A melting praline, the scent of caramel, an artfully decorated cake – the world of sweet temptations appeals to all the senses. Under the title “The Sweet Art”, the Book Museum of the SLUB Dresden presents a special exhibition of the German Archive of Culinary Arts on the cultural history of confectionery and desserts, on view from June 13, 2025 to January 17, 2026. Curated in collaboration with TU Dresden, the exhibition highlights a particularly sensuous field within Food Studies.
