Live-Online-Tour: Introduction to the SLUB Makerspace
What is the SLUB Makerspace and what can I do here?
What is a Makerspace in general and what role does it play in a library?
In this live-online-tour we introduce our space and we show you what you need in order to work at SLUB Makerspace and which machines and devices are available to you.
You will be able to guide us through the space to take a closer look at machines and devices, to ask questions and exchange with others. No prior knowledge is needed. Everyone is welcome.

Elena Girardi studierte vergleichende englische Literatur-, Kultur- und Sprachwissenschaft in Düsseldorf. Sie arbeitet am liebsten interdisziplinär und ist seit August 2020 im Makerspace der SLUB tätig. Bei Fragen zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten in den Geisteswissenschaften (Schwerpunkt empirische Datenanalyse in englischer Sprachwissenschaft) und zu Open Educational Resources (OER) steht sie Ihnen gerne zur Verfügung. Zum Semestereinstieg steht sie Ihnen darüber hinaus im Rahmen von Online-Seminaren bei Fragen zur Orientierung in der SLUB zur Seite. Beratungen sind auch auf Englisch und Italienisch möglich.
