LaTeX – Introduction: Hands-on Workshop for Newbies (Online Participation)

With a few commands you can create beautiful documents with LaTeX. How does it work? And how is it different from working with office packages? In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of LaTeX, different document types and some of their features without prior knowledge. You will work with the collaborative writing platform Overleaf (via tex.zih.tu-dresden.de). Registration there with Overleaf is not required for the workshop.

This workshop is part of the LaTeX day (at the Open Science Lab and online), a full day of workshops to get you started with LaTeX. Please register for each workshop you want to take part in, separately!
Kay-Michael Würzner ist Sprachwissenschaftler und hat Computerlinguistik und Germanistik studiert. Nach dem Studium arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Potsdam und der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften im Bereich korpuslinguistischer Forschungsdateninfrastrukturen. Seit April 2019 ist Kay-Michael Würzner an der SLUB tätig und bearbeitet Themen des maschinellen Lernens und der automatischen Sprachverarbeitung. Darüber hinaus ist er für die Koordination der Beratungsangebote rund um den gesamten Forschungskreislauf verantwortlich und berät Sie gerne zu allen Aspekten einer offenen Wissenschaftskultur.
