Contemporary Art

Since 1993, the SLUB Dresden has been responsible for the special interest collection focusing on "Contemporary Art after 1945, Photography, Industrial Design and commercial art". The national special collections program of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation, DFG) supports the acquisition of printed and digital media on this subject as completely as possible. The goal is to have at least one copy of all scientific publications available in Germany at all times. The acquisition of domestic literature is accomplished via resources from the library, the DFG sponsors the acquisition of foreign literature from Europe and North America.

arthistoricum.net– the Virtual Library for Art offers the possibility to comprehensively search for books and journals within the special interest collections of "Contemporary Art" and "Art History" (UB Heidelberg), as well as to find information about artists in the ConArt database, or to browse art historical Internet resources in the Art Guide.
